The "Beverly Hills, 90210" star, who has lived with the disease for years, expressed admiration for the royal following her recent diagnosis.
"She lost it on me, and I was just not in the mood to back down," Doherty revealed.
Doherty teared up while insisting again that her co-star got her fired from their WB show after Milano denied any wrongdoing.
“Do I call that a miracle?” Doherty asked Monday about the promising development. “Yeah. For me, that happens to be a miracle right now.”
The actor sat down with her former co-star, Jason Priestly, to discuss what led to being let go.
“One can’t keep telling the same story over and over and over again, when it’s not the truth,” Doherty said.
The “Beverly Hills: 90210” alum shared a story in which she claims Milano tried to make Doherty look like a bad friend to Holly Marie Combs.
“I couldn't go into that surgery with him there,” Doherty said. “I felt so betrayed.”
The "Charmed" star was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015. She shared earlier this year that it had spread to her brain.
"She lives every day and she’s fighting,” the “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” star said in an interview published Wednesday.
