So, for all of you who don't have a Jennifer Lawrence Google alert set up already, we give you a roundup of her most lovable moments of the past year.

In summary, the passion and persistence of grit motivates and carries us over rough seas like a well-made surfboard. We can think of an absence of effort like a crack in our surfboard that needs repair.

I don't condone Miley's antics. Nor do I think her behavior sets a positive example for anyone. But the world has to realize something: Miley Cyrus doesn't want to be a role model. And we have to learn to be okay with that.
Honorable mention: Asking me my opinion on the Lady Gaga v. Katy Perry debate. If you're a friend of mine, you know it. If not, it's both presumptuous and none of your damn business.
Keep in mind it wasn't easy to select just three notable medical stories from the past year, but I do believe this trio is one that will not only provide you with useful information, but will make you much more attractive to others and likely get you invited to many high class social events.
