"We’re saying as a society, ‘We need this. We need to go to theaters and have that experience,'" Cameron said.
“I look back on some films that I’ve made, and I don’t know if I would want to...fetishize the gun, like I did on a couple of 'Terminator' movies," said Cameron.
Globally, “The Way of Water” is already the third highest-grossing film released in 2022, bringing in $855 million and is a lock to surpass $1 billion.
"They’re not extraordinary problems. They’re not going up against some guy that’s trying to conquer the galaxy," Cameron said.
The sequel to the highest-grossing movie of all time still reportedly earned $550 million from global ticket sales.
"I thought, ‘Oh, I guess it came out and didn’t do very well,’ because I didn’t hear anything," Falco said on "The View."
"The Way of Water" actor revealed that a producer of a blockbuster franchise "personally cut his hair to match her vision" for the star.
Cameron said he made "a bunch of notes for six months," which he then shared with his writers room as he set out to develop "The Way of Water."
"It's a physical shift and it's something that you have to learn how to do," Winslet said. "But at the same time, it's also a mindset."
James Cameron’s long-awaited "Avatar: The Way of Water" will be released this December.
