The Microsoft mogul gave $5 billion to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to finance work in global health, development, policy and advocacy, and U.S. education.
The Microsoft co-founder, who first appeared on the Forbes 400 list in 1986, is currently worth an estimated $100 billion.

Gates’ private office said “these claims are false, recycled rumors from sources who have no direct knowledge, and in some cases have significant conflicts of interest.”
