Two musicals set in Paris opened on Broadway within four days of each other. Both are shows that began as musicals created for the movies, something almost unheard of today unless you're an animated princess.
It's hard to believe that five years have passed since Lady Gaga recorded "Bad Romance." But with the fifth anniversary of the release date of Gaga's album, The Fame Monster, on October 26, 2014 it's interesting to note the song's impact on popular culture.
However, fellow actor Anton Troy, who played Brick, stood in solidarity with Lacy and quit the show after Lacy was fired

Scarlett Johansson's voluptuous draw had the theater packed with 20-somethings clamoring to share airspace with the star, and none seemed to be prepared to absorb Tennessee Williams' cruel truths, a perfect blindside that any writer drools over. The poor bastards never knew what hit them.
I've never seen a good production of Cat On A Hot Tin Roof, so maybe it is the play itself. But it is intriguingly modern in some ways.
