The Cherry Blossom Festival is one of Washington, D.C.'s most beloved events. People from around the world flock to the nation's capital to view the pretty pink blossoms that alight the city and signal the start of spring.
If you venture across the National Mall, you will find precious few memorials to women. At one end, Abraham Lincoln's stoic face scans the two-mile-long lawn. In the middle is the monument to George Washington.
The magic of storytelling has helped my sons and I connect with a kindred spirit half a world away. Now if that isn't grace, I don't know what is.
