High school students across New Mexico walked out en masse this morning to protest the start PARCC testing, which began Monday morning.
Common Core testing will turn out to be the money pit that consumed American education. The sooner it dies, the sooner schools and teachers will be freed of the Giant Federal Accountability Plan hatched in secret and foisted upon our nation's schools.

Someday, maybe 12 years from now, they think, all children will be college-ready, even if they live in squalor or have no home, even if they attend overcrowded classes with inexperienced teachers. Are they gullible? Or do they believe the public can be easily deceived?
Comedian Louis CK is taking a stand against Common Core testing. The 46-year-old appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman on Thursday to promote the upcoming season of his hit FX series Louis, and he took the opportunity to say a few things about New York’s controversial standardized test.
As teachers, our purpose is not to teach to the standards anymore than the purpose of building a house is to adhere to the building codes. You build a house to live in. We teach students so they become productive members of society.
