I fervently believe that parents should respect their children as fellow human beings worthy of great respect and kindness. But nature designed the parent-child relationship to be hierarchical, with parents in charge and children dependent on them.
Remember, Nature loves those who oppose her most. Nature is not just greenery. She is you, me, and all that we humans have not yet conceived.

To turn to the real world, it is not uncommon to find households in which one parent dominates another. The power play in turn impacts the children.
I am confident that her willingness to question and take risks to support her own cause now will enable her to make deliberate, independent decisions as a teen and into her adulthood.
As I continue contemplating the dizzying number of shows that I previewed at both, I find that one of the few that I continue to think about on an ongoing basis and one of the very few that I cannot wait to see is Syfy's Ascension.
