What does it mean to be a movie producer? More specifically, what exactly does a movie producer do?
Ernest Cline's highly anticipated follow-up to his 2011 bestseller, Ready Player One, is just hours away from being released to the public. For whatever reason, novelists who achieve widespread critical and commercial success with their first novel are always under a microscope when a new novel is released.
Many science fiction writers have rather accurately predicted future technologies, including the rise of the Internet and the demise of quality television. In doing so, they have given us language and ideas that have shaped the digital age in which we live.

The novel chronicles a young boy's discovery and the training he receives in a mystical place called The Ether, as well as the battles he fights in that pit good against evil.
For week 47 of 52 books in 52 weeks I read Bill Bryson's One Summer: America, 1927. And for week 48 I read Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card.
I wonder if I'll have to turn in my "Friend of Dorothy" card now. Recently I dared to see Ender's Game, the target of an LGBT boycott campaign because the author of the book, Orson Scott Card, is an unrepentant homophobe. And so he is; that much is clear.
Do you wear a watch? By watch I mean an analog device, with hands sweeping around a dial, possibly augmented by "complications" as they are known, and all designed to look good on your wrist.
I was going into Ender's Game with very low expectations because the trailers made it look like a horrible money grab of a movie. But now, having seen the film, I must say... The trailers did this film NO justice.
