Director David Yates walked back comments that the wizard will "not explicitly" be gay.
"I feel like this is the problem when white people want to diversify and don't actually ask POC how to do so," author Ellen Oh tweeted.
“Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald” is giving a new spin on an infamous villain.
