Officials believe they have identified the location of the flight data recorder and cockpit voice recorder, one day after the passenger plane carrying 62 people crashed.
The Boeing 737 crashed into the sea on Oct. 29, minutes after taking off in Jakarta.
Authorities hope the information on the black box will explain what caused the 2-month-old plane to crash earlier this week, killing all 189 people on board.
It comes one day after search teams found the cockpit voice recorder.
