In the game of "Real Life," I've noticed that there are three pathways we can take, each one of which leads to a completely different experience of and relationship with our circumstances, dreams, and goals...
We, humans, are the source for creating something new. We are the source for creating new systems, organizations, governments and a world that actually works for all people. And a world that can be so much more thrilling, unpredictable and abundant. We can make it all up... again.
Life is a game just like all the other games. The only difference is that life is the only game that we don't realize is a game. Each of us has made up, largely unconsciously, a set of rules (our values) -- based on our worldview and our beliefs -- and we think our rules are right and inherently true.
As you enter the voting booth on Tuesday, vote for the future of our country - the one we leave to our children and their children's children. Vote long term.
Overall Milton Bradley, I'm pissed. Next time you think about making a new game, think about how much it will build up or expectations of "real life." Or at least you could put a warning label on the box.
Each day we wake up, we enter the video game we have chosen for our life. And each day, we become better and better at learning the rules that help us win, no matter how fun or damaging the game is.
