One year ago, we launched a campaign in California, called "No Such Thing As A Child Prostitute." Our goal? To eliminate the very notion of "child prostitute" in both language and in law.

Taken at face value, this new law would be utterly redundant - except for the fact that it would open the door for a witch hunt, involving the creation of an unprecedented thought crime.

It means a hard working mother or father who rises before dawn in the summer heat or on a freezing winter's day and gets home well after the kids are asleep will finally get the pay they deserve but have been denied.
