I ask, as parents, teachers and citizens who care a whole lot about our future, what is the ultimate goal of our children's education? Is the STEM education enough for them? Will it teach them to be intellectuals who are productive personally, professionally and societally?

How do teachers motivate students in the Singapore school system? How do they level the playing field between rich and poor students? How do they handle behavioral problems? Are they obsessed with testing?

The education system that will optimize the prospects of success in the global world will be one that develops passion, releases creativity, and deeply challenges its young people.

What is the root cause of terrorism? It is religious indoctrination, perpetuating hatred towards other cultures in the name of God, pursuing a violent agenda and justifying it.
