Jan. 6 insurrection
A Virginia man has been arrested on charges linking him to the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.
“Instead of dancing, you stand around and watch this guy cry,” said one journalist describing the bizarre scene.
"You can’t be pro-insurrection and pro-cop. You can’t be pro-insurrection and pro-democracy. You can’t be pro-insurrection and pro-American," Biden said.
The Jan. 6 committee has said it is looking closely at any ties between people in Trump’s orbit and extremist groups accused of helping put into motion the violence at the Capitol.

A federal trial is scheduled to start on Monday for a father and son from Delaware charged with storming the U.S. Capitol together.

Lawsuits seeking to disqualify Reps. Paul Gosar and Andy Biggs and state Rep. Mark Finchem allege that they are ineligible to hold office because they participated in an insurrection.
Jan. 6 defendant Dustin Thompson had told jurors he wanted to earn Donald Trump's "respect" and "approval."
Thomas Robertson was convicted on all six counts he faced stemming from the Jan. 6, 2021 insurrection.
