The star soccer goalie said in a statement that she underestimated how destructive her relationship with alcohol had become.
"We're crushed," the former U.S. women’s national soccer team goalkeeper said Saturday.
The soccer star and her husband, former NFL player Jerramy Stevens, said they were “shocked and heartbroken" by the shooting.
"Miniature soccer team on the way," she said after announcing the news.
