Sen. Elizabeth Warren asked for unanimous consent to approve 15 non-controversial judges. When Majority Leader Mitch McConnell objected, she said the GOP's tactics on appointees were small, petty and absurd.
Texas is indeed going blue. The only question is when. If Republicans sabotage immigration reform, Texas Democrats may not have to wait for a Hillary Clinton presidential campaign in 2016.

DREAM Act kids? They deserve a vote. Judicial nominees? They deserve a vote. As long as the "they" being referenced are sympathetic to the vast majority of the American public, then the logic works.
Presidents come and go, but federal judges stay. In the second term, it is important that President Obama find ways to focus his energies on judicial nominations, and find ways to ensure that the Senate does the same.
