When you're a teenager and the oldest of five kids, trust me, there is nothing better than getting out of the house alone. Rolling on back roads in my clunky little wagon, a boom box on the passenger seat playing mix tapes oozing teen angst... Man, that was the coolest.
The punches never stop coming, and while we always keep fighting, eventually we're not going to be able to defend an onslaught. But I think I've learned that it's okay to stay down for the ten-count and embrace the knockout.
