Murder of Laquan McDonald

Former Chicago police officer Jason Van Dyke was sentenced in January to 81 months in prison for the murder of 17-year-old Laquan McDonald.
Chicago community organizer William Calloway said the ex-officer deserves to "spend the rest of his life behind bars."
A judge sentenced former Chicago police officer Jason Van Dyke to nearly seven years for the 2014 murder of 17-year-old Laquan McDonald.
The judge said that she did not find that the three cops conspired to cover up the shooting.
