over thinking

Indecisiveness is a productivity and creativity killer.  It often leads to a syndrome known as analysis paralysis.  Fear of choosing the wrong thing, making the wrong decision is at the root of the problem for many people. And then there's overthinking.  It too can cause paralysis.
But when your mind is relatively clear and quiet, your own common sense and wisdom will prove a reliable guide as to how much you can usefully take on at any given time. And the best news of all is that clarity and peace of mind is never more than one thought away...
What day is it? Am I forgetting something I have to do? Should I dress casual? What if I run into an ex and they think I've given up on life?
Over-thinking is all about dredging up the past and/or borrowing trouble from the future. The best cure for over-thinking is to simply be present. Be here right now.
When you break up with over-thinking it's like writing your own "get out of jail free" card. It doesn't cost you anything to end your relationship with the drama inside your head. You can decide to focus on things in the present that are deserving of your time and attention whenever you choose.
Most of us have, at one time or another, been guilty of over-thinking a decision; painstakingly evaluating every detail and outcome until we were so confused and overwhelmed, we did nothing.
