The annual fundraising gala won't feature a comedian this year, but that wasn't enough to lure the president to the event.
The president said he may come to the annual press dinner afterall since the WHCA announced Ron Chernow will be the speaker instead of a comedian.
“The media is complicit," the comedian tweeted over next year's pick for speaker at the annual White House Correspondents' Association dinner.
Pulitzer Prize winner Ron Chernow, who penned the 2004 biography of Alexander Hamilton, was selected after this year's controversy with comedian Michelle Wolf.
