CONWAY, Pa. — A Beaver County mother is facing charges after authorities said she abused her daughter by violently pulling her hair. According to the complaint, officers were first alerted to the case on Aug. 31 when hospital officials reported they were treating a 6-year-old for an injury to her head. The complaint said the injury was described as a separation of the victim’s scalp from her skull, also known as traction. This caused a void between the skull and scalp that filled with blood.
