The discovery was made on a property owned by the parents of Cosmo DiNardo, police said.
Cosmo DiNardo had been held on an unrelated weapons charge.
A friend says the young man at the center of the search had head injuries from a recent dirt bike wreck that seemed to alter his behavior.
