The world is full of people like me - people who were born in places that they are not "from." This is a basic fact about the world. You know it, I know it, and the American people know it. But the bill to tighten the visa waiver program that passed the House of Representatives doesn't acknowledge this reality. It treats people as being "from" places that they are not "from," simply because they happen to carry the nationality of that place, even if they have never set foot there.
