During an interview on MSNBC, Dr. Anthony Fauci warned that a 10-day motorcycle rally in Florida could become a virus superspreader event.
“We’re very confident we won’t be a super-spreader event,” co-owner Neil Leibman said.
The infectious disease specialist admits being concerned when he visited the White House, which he described as "sort of a super-spreader location.”
Staff members from three Washington state nursing homes attended the Nov. 7 event, which had more than 300 guests, health officials said.
The U.S. is currently in the midst of the worst phase of the pandemic so far. The State Department said it will take "every precaution" to protect guests.
The White House is planning to host multiple indoor holiday celebrations, despite a record of spreading the coronavirus and a spike in cases nationwide.
He is currently quarantining and reportedly feels "great."
“We can’t afford to have Election Day serve as a superspreading event across the state and country," one Iowa official said.
