GPS for the Soul
Photography, in general, has become so important as it can 'freeze' the moment so that each person could return to that time in life and experience it newly. And every life moment is valuable, to a greater or lesser extent, as it influences and shapes our personality.
I bought my first camera, a Soviet made Zenit-E SLR, in 1970. I still have the first roll of black and white 35mm film that I developed. The smell of developer and fixer from the countless hours I have spent in darkrooms is still imprinted in my brain. To this day I always carry a camera.
The days of a 'quick picture' are over.
