Taliban government
The Taliban have said they want to form an inclusive, Islamic government. They have used violence in recent days against female protesters demanding equal rights.
Many fear the Taliban will roll back two decades of gains by women and ethnic minorities while restricting the work of journalists and non-governmental workers.
