The crashed Model S was among nearly 363,000 vehicles Tesla has recalled due to potential flaws in its “Full Self-Driving” system.
James Riley of Florida said in his lawsuit that the company disabled a speed limiter on the electric car resulting in the death of his son and another teen.
While the government has not determined the cause of the crash, the incident has increased scrutiny of Tesla.
This crash occurred a day after Tesla revealed the first autopilot fatality.
