Republican Rep. Tom Rice, who voted in favor of Donald Trump’s impeachment, lost his reelection bid in South Carolina.
The congressman was one of 10 House GOP members who voted in favor of impeaching Trump after the U.S. Capitol riot.
The former House speaker is backing South Carolina GOP Rep. Tom Rice, whom he applauded for having the courage to vote for impeachment.
South Carolina congressman Tom Rice said that "in retrospect I should have voted to certify, because President Trump was responsible for the attack on the Capitol.”
