Carlos Dominguez pleaded not guilty to two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder in connection to a series of stabbings in the college community of Davis, California.

Police said the suspect was taken into custody Wednesday after 15 people called in reports of a person who matched the description of the suspect in a local park.

Two people are dead and a woman was hospitalized Monday in critical condition, police said.

They could vanish in 50 years – or be protected by "wildlife corridors," researchers say.
