Putting the "color" in color television.
In the end, this is a group of people who have been slandered ruthlessly, kicked to the bottom of many arbitrary, nonsensical social pecking orders that any bully feeds off of. This is as true of the bully in the sandbox as it is the bully in Congress or State Assembly.
It's not that I am against marriage equality, but as an 18-year-old non-binary low-income transwomyn of color (who is single because college is my current boyfriend), my right to walk down the aisle is no where near my list of priorities.

As Undocumented Queer & Trans* Youth of Color we noticed a repetitive theme in The National Conference on LGBTQ Equality. The conference created an environment where our experiences as youth of color are being told by people who don't necessarily face our situations/struggles.
Eddy Arias didn't know he was undocumented when he came to the United States at the age of 14. That didn't stop immigration authorities from detaining Arias two years ago, during a routine traffic stop.
