Dr. Vivek Murthy issued an advisory earlier this month about the urgent need to address the mental health crisis among American youth.
“The president and the administration wouldn’t have put these requirements in place if they didn’t think that they were appropriate and necessary," said Dr. Vivek Murthy.
“It’s very reasonable for counties to take more mitigation measures like the mask rules you see coming out in LA," Dr. Vivek Murthy said.
On cable talk shows, Biden administration officials stuck to their message about the risks posed by misinformation on social media.
Senate Democrats last week introduced legislation that would decriminalize it at the federal level.
