It is a community development, and human services organization that provides services to low income families and economically distressed regions in more than 90 communities throughout New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Ohio, Indiana, Vermont, Virginia, and Puerto Rico.

Stuart J. Mitchell has served as the President and CEO of PathStone Corporation since 1977. Mitchell, who began his career with PathStone in 1969, has steered the growth of the organization into a $70 million multistate agency that is governed by a community-based Board of Directors and employs over 500 staff. Board members and staff are dedicated to leading a visionary, diverse organization that empowers individuals, families and communities to attain the necessary economic and social resources to build better lives. Last year, PathStone served 38,164 participants, benefitting 70,863 family members.
