On Monday night, we witnessed the annual Met Gala -- aka the fanciest fashion night of the year. Just about every A-lister stepped out dripping in diamonds and cloaked in couture. And of course, the majority of them opted for sky-high heels to complete the look.
While we understand that heels can add a certain je ne sais quoi to any red carpet ensemble, they are also uncomfortable as hell and can lead to serious health problems. So when we spotted Kate Mara changing out of her heels and into a sensible pair of sneakers for the after party, we couldn't help but applaud her.
And she wasn't the only star to make the switch. Naomi Campbell also rocked a pair of sneakers to the after party, but to be fair, it isn't 100 percent clear if she was wearing her sneaks the entire time -- her long gown hid her shoes on the red carpet.
