“I have been telling myself for a while that the next time Prime days rolled around I would jump on this sale and buy one of these. I finally did it this year. This coffee machine will make the absolute best cup of drip coffee you’ve ever tasted if you do it right. I assume if you’re buying this that you’re a coffee snob and know the pitfalls to avoid but just in case you don’t this is what you need to do. Do not buy coffee at the grocery store. Most of the time they do not list a roasted date which means that the coffee is old and stale. Even the best coffee sold in grocery stores is not super fresh. Find a local roaster near you or one that sells online and will ship to you. Freshly roasted makes all the difference. The other thing is to use a decent burr grinder. Don’t ever buy ground coffee even from a good roaster. Grind your beans yourself right before making your coffee. Lastly, if you really want to go the extra mile, look into blooming your coffee on this machine. It’s really easy. Do a quick Google search and see how to do it.
Now that I’ve told you how to make the best cup of coffee on this machine I will just say that this machine is worth every penny it costs. It is a quality machine and it’s far better than machines I have owned before. I have always had good coffee machines too. Surprisingly, the thing that impressed me the most is the carafe. I assumed it would be the typical metal carafe all the way through but it’s actually quality glass on the inside and metal on the outside. One of the other things I like is how quickly the water boils. I timed it and I think it was just under 40 seconds. You won’t be waiting for coffee with this machine. It’s also kind of nice to be able to see the water boil up through the mechanism on the machine. If you’re on the fence about buying this machine just do it. You won’t regret it.” ― Tony

The recommended ratio of coffee grounds to cup level can vary depending on the coffee blend you chose. For dark roast coffees the experience is less coffee grounds than recommended in the included literature, and for light roast coffee grounds the experience is perhaps more coffee grounds than recommended in the included literature. The premium medium roast coffees tend to produce the perfect pot of coffee using the guidance included in the literature. This is the Rolls Royce for best brewed coffee.
The only criticism is with the carton packaging. For such a beautiful coffee brewer the manufacturer should provide a little more protection for shipping. The plastic bag doesn’t provide sufficient protection from the cardboard inserts from potential minor markings on a well crafted high polished coffee brewer. This one came with minor buffing marks on the polished aluminum and stainless steel from cardboard rubbing these highly polished surfaces.” ―Kevin H
