A great morning starts with a good night’s sleep. If you find yourself going to bed at 1:00 a.m., getting up at 6:00 a.m. and you’re exhausted and craving a nap by 5:00 p.m., then you need more sleep. Create a ‘get ready for bed’ routine with steps that will tell your body it’s time to switch off the day. Start by turning off all electronics an hour or two before you fall asleep. Blue light exposure, the kind from computer screens, can disrupt your sleep. Take a warm bath or shower, read for a bit (not on your computer, phone or tablet), then switch off the bedside light. Keep up with the routine and soon you’ll be getting a great night’s sleep. (credit:Getty Images)

If you’re a fan of oatmeal, why not prep it the night before in a slow cooker? Get some slow-cook oats, add your favourite ingredients, leave to cook overnight and wake up to warm, nutritious, and filling food.
