Langley RCMP are trying to find three people seen tossing three hockey bags full of cocaine into a ditch.

A witness called police on Oct. 4 to report seeing a van with three people making the drop in Aldergrove, just a few blocks north of the U.S. border.

RCMP arrived to find two of the bags and 21 bricks of cocaine. A canine unit could not find the third bag, or any suspects.

"These bricks of cocaine would have an approximate street value of $500,000," said Cpl. Holly Marks in a news release on Tuesday.

Because the owner of the drugs has not been identified, no charges have been laid.
