7 Things To Know About The New Veterans Affairs Minister

Canadians have a new minister of veterans affairs after Julian Fantino's tumultuous tenure in the role came to an end Monday.

Erin O'Toole, MP for Ontario's Durham riding, has taken up the job of improving relations with veterans that became testy, to say the least, under Fantino's watch.

As Maclean's points out, O'Toole may be well-placed to build bridges because he's a veteran himself.

But that's not all there is to O'Toole.

Here are seven things to know about O'Toole, Canada's new veterans affairs minister:
