Coquitlam's Foggy Dew pub has been thrust into the spotlight thanks to Toronto Mayor Rob Ford, who was spotted visiting the establishment on Friday.
While some were surprised by his choice in bar, others found it quite fitting.
So what is this suburban pub all about? According to its website:
Enjoy the true Irish spirit and hospitality of the Foggy Dew Irish Pub. For over a decade, the ‘Dew’ has welcomed guests with traditional Irish pub fare and a smooth pint of Guinness. At our convenient Coquitlam location, guests have been known to kick up a heel while enjoying live contemporary music on Friday and Saturday nights. Whether joining friends for a quick swalley, or making a night of it, the Foggy Dew offers unparalleled customer service, great atmosphere, and the promise of a good time.
Based on the photos taken of Ford at the bar, it seems to be a student-friendly place (it has even been called a "teen bar"). They host Wing Night every Monday and are throwing a Super Bowl party on Sunday where you can win a trip to Las Vegas.
