All eyes will be on Los Angeles this coming Sunday. The event? The 2014 Golden Globes, of course!

While plenty of entertainment sites have made their predictions about who will win what, we at HuffPost Canada Style will be more focused on the designer gowns and tuxedos worn by our favourite celebrity attendees, natch.

So, we thought it equally appropriate to predict what designers will be worn and by who. Dum dum dum…..

Amy Poehler

Globes co-host Amy Poehler wore a slick Stella McCartney suit to the 2013 Golden Globe Awards which was met with much praise. This year, we see the “Parks and Recreation” actress going with something more conventional but no less head turning. The funny gal has never been a fan of overly girly gowns so we’re pretty sure a ballgown won't be on her list. Since she wore a shimmery gown by Peter Som to the 2013 Emmys, we’re going to predict she’ll go with a floor length gown in a darker shade once again.

Tina Fey

Last year, the “30 Rock” star wore a strapless black and white L’Wren Scott number that impressed the hell out of us and then changed into another black strapless gown. Is there a pattern? We think so! And after that infamous “nip slip” at last year’s Emmy Awards, we think it's safe to say that Tina will opt for something with a bit more coverage, that's strapless, of course.

Jennifer Lawrence

Jennifer Lawrence will once again be the "It" girl at this year's awards season and we’re all curious to see what she’ll be strolling the red carpet in. The Oscar-winner is partial to Dior (she's the face of the Paris fashion house) but we don’t think she wants to become predictable. We’re going to put our money on a form fitting Calvin Klein dress like the one she wore to the 2011 Oscars.

Zoey Deschanel

Our favourite television hipster wore a bold red Oscar de la Renta gown at last year’s Golden Globes but the actress tends to opt for lighter more feminine colours: Take the ice blue J.Mendel dress she wore at the 2013 Emmys and a light blue striped Tommy Hilfiger gown sported at the 2013 Met Gala. On Sunday, we anticipate she’ll arrive wearing something sparkly and elaborate, perhaps a Reem Acra gown, to look different from her previous red carpet ensembles. We also predict she will flaunt her famous bangs again, since the last time she ditched them she was totally unrecognizable!

Kerry Washington

The "Scandal" star made huge waves this year thanks to her flawless red carpet fashion so we can't wait to see what she sports on Sunday. At last year's ceremony, the actress chose a blush coloured embellished Miu Miu dress so this time around, we're expecting to see a bit more colour.

Kerry has also been known to favour American designers so we’re going to place our bets on an elegant Ralph Lauren gown or perhaps Jason Wu who has been a popular choice as of late.

But the real question is: Will her alleged baby bump make an appearance? And if so, will she go with a flowing gown or will she accentuate her bump with a curve-hugging dress?

Bradley Cooper

Bradley Cooper tends to play it safe with classic Tom Ford tuxedos (which he wore last year) so we’re not anticipating anything different at the 2014 Globes. That being said, we’re hoping the “Silver Linings Playbook” star will go with a coloured suit, similar to the navy blue single button Tom Ford he sported at the 2013 SAG Awards. (Would it be too much to ask that he wear a velvet jacket à la Benedict Cumberbatch?)

Anne Hathaway

The “Les Misérables” actress probably feels like she has to do some fashion redemption after wearing a disastrous pink Prada dress at last year’s Oscars. With that in mind, we think she’ll blow everyone away on Sunday, making sure there aren’t any embarrassing illusions from every angle. Our prediction is that she’ll try making it up to Valentino (the designer she was originally going to wear at the Oscars) by sporting one of his many elegant gowns such as this dreamy sheer black dress from his Spring 2014 collection.

Sofia Vergara

The “Modern Family” beauty stood out in a sea of red gowns with a shimmery black dress last year so this time around, we bet she goes with a razzle dazzle colour. And as Sophia is always one to embrace her curves, (we would too if we looked like her) we see her doing it once again this year in something form fitting. As for designers, the 41-year-old favours Marchesa so it's a safe bet she will return to a tried-and-true favourite.

Halle Berry

We rarely see Halle Berry make a bad call on the red carpet. In fact, it’s kind of eerie how en point she is, despite the floral Versace dress she wore last year which was met with mixed reviews. More of a wish than a prediction, we’re hoping the “Cloud Atlas” actress pulls out all the stops and wears a gown in the vein of the iconic peek-a-boo Elie Saab dress she wore to the 2002 Oscars. Talk about lasting impressions!

Robert Downey Jr.

The "Iron Man" star is slated to be one of the presenters this year and we’re going to go out on a limb and say he’ll be in a classic tuxedo. Since our leading men don’t have much in the way of fashion variety, they often use varying textures to set themselves apart.

Thankfully, the handsome star doesn't shy away from wearing velvet tuxedos as well as colours and pattern. We think Robert will go with his favourite designer, Vivienne Westwood, and mix it up with a fun bow tie, cummerbund or lapels in a different texture.
