As if we didn't already have office envy for the folks over at Vancouver-based Hootsuite, the social media management company has recently opened a second location in the city.

Located near their original space, HQ2 has a very west coast feel. There's the "fishing lodge" lobby with wooden panel walls, plaid covered log benches and antique fishing gear, and an entranceway that was designed to look like Whistler Village with indoor cabins, each named after a B.C. ski run.

Staff can enjoy organic, cold-pressed juice delivered from a local company, and have meals a lunchroom complete with picnic tables and a ping-pong table.

The office space itself is open concept, with long desks and separate meeting rooms. There's also a library for quiet time and a "sunken lounge" fit with beanbag chairs, plaid benches, and a projection system. There's even an outhouse, because what ski resort is complete without one?

If Hootsuite's office offerings have you itching to work there, you're in luck: the company is holding a #HootHire Open House on Wednesday, August 27 from 5 to 7 p.m. at both Hootsuite HQ (5 E. 8th Ave.) and HQ2 (111 E. 5th Ave.).

Check out their sweet new space:

Willis Faber & Dumas Building, Ipswich(39 of48)
Open Image Modal
One of the first buildings designed by internationally renowned architect Norman Foster, the Willis Faber & Dumas building, built between 1970 and 1975, houses 1300 office staff in open plan offices spread over three floors. The central escalator well leads up to a roof top staff restaurant surrounded by a roof top garden. This might sound tame in comparison to today's Silicon-Valley new media campuses* but this focus on collaboration and work-play culture was pioneering in its day.*Foster's latest project is the new Silicon Valley Apple 2 campus. Airbnb's new 72,000-square-foot headquarters in San Fransisco, designed by Gensler and Interior Design Fair, features eight private meeting rooms that are exact replicas of some of the service’s coolest listings from around the world; an atrium with a massive living wall climbing up the brick facade; and a conference room inspired by the War Room in Stanley Kubrick’s Dr. Strangelove, complete with a circular table and overhead lighting. This 70,000 square-foot workspace is appropriately off-the-wall for "America's largest invention factory". Like Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory meets the The Wizard of Oz, Inventionland contains 15 playful sets from pirate ships, race tracks, and faux caves to red carpet walkways, a castle and a giant robot. In line with the anti-corporate vibe, there are no "employees" here, just a team of "creationeers". (credit:Barcroft Media via Getty Images)
