How George And Amal Clooney Celebrated Their First Anniversary

It was surprisingly low-key.
|

After a summer of celebrity splits, it's nice to see one of our favourite couples celebrating their anniversary for a change.

Just one year ago, we watched in awe as actor George Clooney and human rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin sailed through Venice before saying "I do". It was whimsical and romantic, just like their love story.

So how did the couple celebrate after a year of romance? In a surprisingly low key way, actually. The couple who were officially married in a civil ceremony on Sept. 29, 2014 celebrated their first year together on the anniversary of their lavish nuptials on Sept. 27.

According to Us Weekly, the pair went out for dinner at the Sunset Tower Hotel’s Tower Bar in West Hollywood on Sunday night.

The magazine's source says the couple celebrated with champagne and had a “lovely, quiet romantic meal.”

Powerful, successful, smart, sexy and somehow still simple. Seriously, what's there not to love about George and Amal?
