Power Rankings have been rating sports teams mid-season for years, based on statistical analysis, momentum and gut feelings. But there's just as much strategy and move-making involved in the big leagues of pop.

So, we bring you HuffPost's Pop Power Rankings, our roundup of who's on top (and who has fallen off) in the pop game.

Pop Power Rankings For February 2

1. Justin Bieber (Re-Entry)(01 of06)

It may not seem like the best week for Biebs. First he groped a fan and posted the photo to Facebook (until his camp denied it happened), then he slammed the Grammy Awards for not nominating him. But these tirades aren't a sign of a career in trouble, Biebs is just promoting his album using the "get into trouble all week" method. And here's the proof he's still on top: his new Believe Acoustic album went to #1 marking his fifth time reaching top spot. And when his friend Lil' Twist did $10k of damage to his Ferrari at the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills, the hotel decided to pick up the cheque. 2. Beyonce (Last Rank: 2)(02 of06)

Beyoncé recently silenced critics of inauguration lip-sync-gate by belting the national anthem at a press conference for her Super Bowl performance. She is on top of this thing! With that embarrassment behind her, she can get back to getting ready to sing at the biggest television event of the year, spending $50 million of Pepsi's money, reuniting Destiny's Child, and probably inspiring breakthroughs in medical science. 3. Justin Timberlake (Last Rank: 1)(03 of06)

"Suit & Tie featuring Jay-Z" is the best performing single in Timberlake's career. It's partly thanks to the online hype he generated, but mostly because we just can't wait to hear his album The 20/20 Experience. Before it drops this March, though, there will be lots of Timberlake to see, as he makes his return to the awards show circuit on the Grammys Feb. 10 and the Brit Awards Feb. 20. (credit:AP)

4. Taylor Swift (Last Rank: 3)(04 of06)

Taylor has taken the past couple weeks off of dating famous boys to let her presumably massive Diet Coke deal settle in with fans. After Beyoncé's $50 million score with Pepsi, the battle is on. No word yet on what Taylor's deal is worth, but in an adorable video message to her fans, Taylor spoke of "exclusives," "content" and at least four other boardroom buzzwords, so this thing is probably massive. 5. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis (New Entry)(05 of06)

Last week Macklemore & Ryan Lewis hit #1 with online hit "Thrift Shop," the same week their album debuted at #2. They're becoming the poster boys of the post-label era, poking fun at their indie status with Funny Or Die sketch "Macklemore & Ryan Lewis Get A Record Deal." If you're one of the 75 million people who have watched the video since it was posted in August, you're probably saying "finally." Now don't be a one hit wonder! (credit:AP)

Pop Power Fail - Lupe Fiasco(06 of06)

Is Lupe OK? At Obama's inauguration he was allegedly kicked off stage after an anti-Obama rant (organizers have since denied that he was kicked off, saying that they "decided to move on to the next act").
