It's a rainy April day at Toronto's legendary Fairmont Royal York Hotel, and filming of "Lost Girl" Season 5 has taken over the main ballroom. The cast and crew are all here shooting the premiere episode of Season 5, and it looks like it's going to be a doozy. The premiere will be a two-parter, consisting of two hour-long episodes.

"Oh s**t, you're a succubus!" someone says to Bo.

"Lost Girl" is prepping for something big here -- the Royal York ballroom is filled with dry ice vapours, and it sometimes has the feel of a Halloween party. But this is no party; it's being billed as a "big event," but the powers-that-be won't let me reveal what's really going on here.

Vanessa Piazza, executive producer of "Lost Girl," stokes the flames of curiosity. "We pulled out all the stops in Season 4, and did a few unexpected things," she said. "We saw Hale's death, Kenzi's sacrifice. Those are bold moves to make. Sometimes in television, you have to make those bold moves."

"There's a real freshness to Season 5," she continues. "We're really opening up the 'Lost Girl' world this year. We get to do so much in these two episodes. It's action-packed and our whole gang gets to be involved. They're all part of this premiere. The group is all back together again. A big theme this season is 'family,' and these are all Bo's family. We've seen some of them get torn apart, but now's their chance to come together."

Michael Grassi, the current showrunner for "Lost Girl," also offers a little hint. "I think this premiere has a lot of surprises. A lot of doors open," he said. "But others close. It sends Bo in a new direction. That's all I can say."

And then Anna Silk -- looking nothing short of spectacular in her all-black hardcore best (thigh-high boots, natch) -- just pours gasoline on the fire. "We left off with so many cliffhangers, the loss of Hale, Rainer and Kenzi," she said. "The Season 5 premiere is definitely going to deal with [that loss]. This two-part premiere is really exciting. Bo was taken in different directions last year, and she wasn't herself a lot of the time, and now she's very clear-headed about her loss. She's determined."

We've already found out a big Season 5 tidbit: "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" star Charisma Carpenter will be joining the show in a guest role. Now it's just the waiting game until we find out anything else.

"Lost Girl" Season 5 is set to premiere in the fall of 2014.

"Big Brother Canada" will be back for Season 3, and the hit reality show is moving to Global from Slice. The houseguests move into the "Big Brother Canada" house, outfitted with 85 cameras and over 80 microphones tracking everything from strategies to showmances.

'Gracepoint' (Thursdays, 9 p.m.)(28 of52)

Set in Gracepoint, this 10-episode mystery event series stars David Tennant, Anna Gunn, Jacki Weaver, Nick Nolte and Michael Peña. The riveting mystery follows the tragic and mysterious death of a young boy found dead on an idyllic beach surrounded by rocks and a jutting cliff-face, from where he may have fallen.

'Constantine' (Fridays, 10 p.m.)(29 of52)

John Constantine (Matt Ryan) is a man waging war against the forces of darkness -- from both within himself and the outside world. An irreverent, working-class con man and occult expert, he's an experienced exorcist and demonologist with an extensive list of supernatural contacts, with their own paranormal talents and abilities. Following the aftermath of a tragic incident, Constantine has voluntarily checked himself into an asylum and sworn off investigating matters of the supernatural. But when a cryptic message calls him out to reluctantly resume his old life, he finds himself saving the life of a young woman, Liv (Lucy Griffiths), whom he's never met -- but is connected to in a very important way.

'NCIS: New Orleans' (Tuesdays, 9 p.m.)(30 of52)

"NCIS: New Orleans" is a drama about the local field office that investigates criminal cases affecting military personnel in the Big Easy, a city known for its music, entertainment and decadence. Leading the team is Special Agent Dwayne Pride (Golden Globe Award winner Scott Bakula), aka "King," a native of NOLA who is driven by his need to do what is right. "Helix" is an intense thriller about a team of scientists from the Centers for Disease Control who travel to a high-tech research facility in the Arctic to investigate a possible disease outbreak, only to find themselves pulled into a terrifying life-and-death struggle that holds the key to mankind's salvation or total annihilation.

'Sleepy Hollow' (Mondays at 9 p.m.)(35 of52)

This action-adventure drama is a modern-day retelling of Washington Irving’s classic tale. Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison, "Parade's End") is resurrected and pulled two-and-a-half centuries through time to find that the world is on the brink of destruction, and that he is humanity’s last hope, forcing him to team up with a contemporary police officer (Nicole Beharie, "42") to unravel a mystery which dates all the way back to the founding fathers.
