Vegetarianism has come a long way in the past decade. According to the Vancouver Humane Society, 33 per cent of Canadians (nearly 12 million people) either identify as vegetarian or say they are eating less meat.

And finally, restaurants all over the world are getting on board with the movement. Of course, some are better than others.

In the infographic below by Travel Supermarket, we look at the 10 most vegetarian-friendly cities around the world. From London to Taipei, Delhi to Prague, these cities should be on every vegetarian's must-visit list.

Ideal for: After-work dinner
On the menu: Gaeng kiaw wan curry, veggie spring rolls and pad Thai with veggies and tofu.
Our tip for vegetarians: The restaurant is pretty good with substitutions and making some of their meat entrees vegan or vegetarian. We suggest the classic pad Thai though, especially if you are a first time Pai-goer.

On the menu: Three vegetarian (two vegan) sausages and "dirty" vegetarian fries.
Our tip for vegetarians: Yes, we know there aren't many vegetarian options but three is way better than one. And since the duck fat fries also tend to be a popular item at Wvrst, you can easily sway your pals to go for the dirty vegetarian version (trust us, they'll love it).
