The second night of fashion shows at The Collections proved to be just as inspired as the first. The creatively dressed crowd packed themselves into the renovated loft space of the Burroughes Building in Toronto’s west end to take in the spectacle — and soak up the style.

Three Canadian designers — two womenswear and one menswear — presented collections that reflected the Spring/Summer 2013 trends we pointed out yesterday, and added a few more of their own.

Sid Neigum: Having won the TFI New Label contest earlier this year, Sid Neigum’s certainly living up to his potential. This Fashion-Institute-of-Technology-trained designer played with a palette of muted tans, whites, greys and lavenders (trend spotted) in a range of luxury fabrics. Come March, if you're looking for the perfect transitional piece, seek out his knitted mock-turtleneck dress. Neigum also experimented with lengths and hems creating reverse-mullet dresses, bias-cut maxis and a paneled mini gladiator skirt.

Cara Cheung: This Torontonian exploded onto the Canadian fashion scene last year with the launch of her line of boldly embellished body-con dresses. Cara Cheung’s signature style of flashy curve-loving eveningwear continues in her S/S collection. The bright chartreuse tummy top and tube skirt (with a train, no less) would look right at home on the Grammy red carpet — as would most of her fiercely fitted frocks. Leather fringes, bodice cutouts (trend spotted) and jewel embellishments decorated these deftly designed dresses.

Klaxon Howl: Always one to take a page out of our cultural history, this season Klaxon Howl designer Matthew Robinson seems to be reaching back into the TV archives. One part 'Leave it to Beaver' and three parts 'MASH', this menswear collection used camouflage as its go-to print, but kept it fresh by mixing in raw denim and boyish accessories (hello, red baseball cap!). From the tailored ankle-length pants to the navy blue anorak jacket, the quality of the clothes was obvious and the cool factor, undeniable.

Here are some of the top looks from Sid Neigum, Cara Cheung And Klaxon Howl.
