This Is Why Josh Donaldson Is A Perfect MVP Choice

This Is Why Josh Donaldson Is A Perfect MVP Choice
|

Toronto Blue Jays fans already know why third baseman Josh Donaldson should be named American League MVP.

But if you need proof, look no further than the dramatic game-winning walk off home run Sunday at the Rogers Centre.

The blast gave the Jays a 5-4 win over the Tampa Bay Rays, and sent more than 45,000 fans home delirious. The win ended the Jays' home schedule with a three-game sweep of the Rays.

The team has clinched a post-season berth and is chasing down its first AL East pennant since 1993.

Donaldson's gaudy stats, which include 41 home runs and 122 RBIs, only tell half the story. His leadership and aggressive play on defence have won over Jays fans. But have you ever wondered what goes into selecting the most valuable player in baseball?

Kait Howell looked into it, check out her video above. You'll agree, by any criteria, that Josh Donaldson is a true MVP.
