I love a good end-of-year countdown, so I thought I’d make my own list of the hair products that made my Top 10 list for 2011. These great hair products were on heavy rotation in my own bathroom vanity this past year:

10. Keratin Perfect Perfect Cleanse Shampoo & Perfect Silk Conditioner(01 of10)

9. John Frieda Frizz-Ease Hair Serum, Thermal Protection Formula(02 of10)
I'll never get tired of this product. I've been using it for years, and despite trying other frizz-reducing products, I keep coming back to this gem. On wet or dry hair, it smoothes unruliness, frizz and kinks. (credit:Drugstore.com)
8. Rowenta Beauty Versa Style(03 of10)
This straightener/curling iron does the work of five salon tools. It's the ideal tool for travel or if you're trying to save space under the bathroom sink. (credit:Fashionista514.com)
7. KQC Swivel Pro Ceramic Curling Iron(04 of10)
It spins as it curls. Which means, no kinks in the ends of your hair. (credit:Flat Iron Experts)
6. Marc Anthony 2nd Day Clear Dry Shampoo(05 of10)
Unlike many baby-powder-type dry shampoos that give your roots a ghostly scare (and get all over the counter), this aerosol product is mess free for those days when you don't realize your hair's greasy until after you've already decided not to wash it. (credit:Drugstore.com)
5. Hair Donut(06 of10)
The go-to tool for creating the sock bun trend of the year, it adds volume to thin or short hair. If you've got too much hair, skip this wonder tool and make your own using a thin nylon, which is what I do. 4. Marc Anthony Moisture Gloss(07 of10)

Another great throw-it-in-your-bag product, this mascara-wand-like item smoothes those flyaways, especially the ones you get if you straighten your hair with an iron instead of a round brush (you know what I'm talking about!). (credit:Drugstore.com)

I have made it my life's mission to tell anyone who loves a good salon blowdry about this life-changing product. If I haven't told you yet, I'm telling you now. You need this product. Your hair will thank me. (credit:Toronto Star)
