If you're not privy to sit in on Calgary city council meetings, you may be wondering what, exactly, they spend their time talking about.

A new study issued by the Manning Foundation Friday gives Calgarians a glimpse into the questions asked during Question Period, by topic, as well as the number of questions asked by each council member.

The study identifies 101 questions asked in more than 80 city council meetings from November 2010 - April 2013. The study also looks at the accessibility of language used by aldermen, which you can read about here.

The report warns, however, that the research "should not be reported as a definitive conclusion on the behaviour of any particular Councilor," as the Manning Foundation was selective in the meetings they chose to analyze, choosing issues they believe command the public interest.
