6-Year-Old Boy Found Dead In Kerala School Toilet

COIMBATORE -- A primary school student was found dead in the toilet of a private school at nearby Tirupur today, police said.

Shivaram, aged six, had gone to to the toilet after coming to school. His classmates found him on the floor with bleeding head injuries and informed the teachers and principal, police said.

The boy's parents rushed to a private hospital where he was admitted, but doctors there had declared him brought dead.

Authorities declared a holiday for the school, even as adequate number of police were deployed in the area as a precautionary measure as tension prevailed for some time.

Police said investigations were on to know the exact cause of death of the boy.
